PostPro DP-M: Depowdering System for Metal Additive Manufacturing
The PostPro DP M from AMT is a compact metal depowdering system that is designed specifically for use in processes where the media used, or the expected dust are combustible. The system is constructed into one compact unit and is ATEX certified with built in safety components to reduce the risk of fire or explosion.
Main Features
ATEX: The POSTPRO DP M complies with the Atex class II 3 / -D T125 °. This obligation applies to the entire installation, including the ioniSation unit. This cabin is designed to handle ST1 powders with a minimum ignition temperature (MIT) exceeding 450°C., and a minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) >25mJ.
Observation Window: A front mounted window consists of a safety glass and secondary splash glass which can easily be removed or replaced.
Ionisation Unit: Built in ATEX certified ionization unit as standard to reduce the static charge within the chamber, resulting in less media and dust sticking to parts.
Door Safety: The heavy duty doors are designed with a sandwich construction to ensure a tight seal against the blasting chamber. Safety switches have been installed to ensure the machine cannot be operated when a door is open.
Cyclone: Equipped with a built in cyclone for efficient blast media cleaning and constant operating mixture. An additional filter has also been installed to prevent the mixing chamber from clogging.
Extraction: A ventilator with a high extraction rate has been installed to prevent dust build up in the blasting chamber and improve visibility during operation. The filters are cleaned automatically with an adjustable cleaning pressure to suit different media and applications.
Mixing chamber: A built-in mixing chamber is placed under the cyclone and can be easily adjusted for optimum blasting for each common blasting media. The blast media can easily be changed via a plug placed on the underside of the mixing chamber.
