Recoater Strip Retrofit for LISA X

The recoater strip in an SLS 3D printer, such as the Sinterit Lisa X, plays a crucial role in ensuring the uniform distribution of powder material across the build platform. Attached to the recoater blade, it spreads a thin, even layer of powder before each layer is sintered by the laser. This official Sinterit recoater strip retrofit kit includes all the necessary components to replace the recoater strip in the Lisa X SLS printer.

This kit contains two angle brackets (B), a black cover (C), a driver slider (D), a leveling slider (E), 14 M3x6 screws (F), and two M3x8 black screws (G). It must be kept in mind that if the existing recoater already uses a replacement tribotape on the leveling slider, it may not be necessary to replace the leveling slider included in the kit. This ensures that users have all the components needed for a smooth retrofit without unnecessary replacements. The recoater strip (A) must be purchased separately so that the upgrade can be completed.

How to install?

Installation of the recoater strip retrofit requires specific tools, including a set of Allen keys (2.0, 2.5, 3.0, and 4.0 mm), a wrench or socket wrench (5.5 mm), and a brush or compressed air for cleaning. The process should follow the steps outlined in the official Manual, available in the Attachments section. After installation, it is important to activate the new recoater strip in the printer’s settings, which is also explained in the Manual.
