iSLM for METAL PARTS

iSLM from ZRapid, a large volume metal 3D printer, which is capable of producing high-quality metal parts with a large build volume. The printer utilizes advanced technologies, enabling efficient and cost-effective production of metal parts for various industries including aerospace, automotive, industrial and medical. The machine features an easy-to-use interface and can produce parts with complex geometries, making it ideal for prototyping and production purposes. Additionally, it is designed for low maintenance, with a robust build quality and a user-friendly experience. This large volume metal 3D printer is poised to revolutionise the Additive Manufacturing market. Models include:-

  • iSLM160, build volume 160 x 160 x 230mm
  • iSLM280, build volume 280 x 280 x 380mm
  • iSLM420, build volume 420 x 420 x 500mm
  • iSLM500, build volume 500 x 400 x 900mm
  • iSLM600, build volume 600 x 600 x 1000mm

iSLA for STEREOLIGTHOGRAPHY

SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus) is an additive manufacturing process that utilizes a UV laser to focus on a vat of photopolymer resin. Guided by CAD/CAM software, the UV laser traces a pre-programmed design onto the resin’s surface. Since photopolymers are sensitive to ultraviolet light, the laser solidifies the resin, forming a single layer of the 3D object. This process is repeated layer by layer until the entire object is built. The technology, processes, and methods developed by ZRapid are now becoming the industry standard across the 3D printing sector. Models include:-

  • iSLA300build volume 300 x 300 x 200mm
  • iSLA550build volume 500 x 500 x 450mm
  • iSLA660build volume 600 x 600 x 450mm
  • iSLA880build volume 800 x 800 x 550mm
  • iSLA1100build volume 1000 x 1000 x 600mm
  • iSLA1600build volume 1600 x 800 x 600mm
  • iSLA1900build volume 1900 x 1000 x 800mm

Industry uses for ZRapid 3D Printers

Aerospace

The necessity of introducing 3D printing into aerospace is becoming evident as aeronautical product innovation requires higher update frequency. Shortening the development cycle is crucial to meet the increasing requirements for complex and sophisticated construction, while efficient and fast manufacturing is rapidly becoming the core competency of the aerospace industry.

Automotive

Automotive and parts manufacturing is the leading field in promoting 3D printing technology. The key advantage of this technology lies in its ability to eliminate the need for mold development in creating complex metal parts, thereby shortening the development cycle of new products and saving significant manpower, financial resources, and time.

Electronics

The application of 3D printing in the consumer electronics industry, including mobile phones, electronic products, computers, home appliances, and tools, is primarily focused on product design and development, where its advantages are clear. The consumer electronics industry is characterised by short product life cycles, making rapid prototyping and innovation crucial for maintaining competitiveness.

Construction

In the construction business, designers utilise 3D printing technologies to create building models quickly, at low cost, and in an environmentally friendly manner, while still achieving exquisite detail. This method provides the best way to visualize building designs and enables barrier-free communication. It fully meets designers’ requirements, significantly saving both material and time.

Medical

3D medical printing is based on a three-dimensional model, using discrete layered software and CNC molding techniques to position and assemble biological materials or living cells, enabling the production of medical assistance devices and implanted stents.

Entertainment

3D printing allows designers to shift from pursuing ultimate control over product shape to empowering users to design the final product themselves. This shift supports personalisation in both style and function. For example, amputees can now create perfectly tailored prostheses using 3D printing technology, while individuals with arthritis can adjust kitchen utensil handles for easier use, enhancing convenience and accessibility.

Manufacturing

Over the last decade, 3D printing has largely been the domain of the maker community, with commercial applications limited to prototyping. However, industrial 3D printing has now reached a tipping point and is poised to go mainstream, set to revolutionise the economy in unprecedented ways.
