Industry Applications
Aerospace
3D printing optimises the structure of complex aerospace parts, increasing service life by reducing weight, redistributing stress, and reducing the risk of fatigue cracks.
Automotive
Engineers can quickly create functional prototypes or spare parts, saving on costs and expediting production lead times, especially for complex or niche parts.
Education R&D
3D printing enhances the learning experience by enabling immersive learning, allowing a deeper and more direct understanding of innovative ideas in a range of disciplines.
Manufacturing
Rapid prototyping with 3D printing allows for structural and functional tests prior to mass production. Low-volume production eliminates the need for costly moulds, allowing companies to adopt a virtual inventory.
Oil & Gas
Due to stricter environmental norms, volatile oil prices and increasing competition, 3D printing is increasingly used as a mainstream manufacturing technology to optimise operational efficiency.
Medical
Pre-surgical models, surgical guides, and surgical implants are amongst the major applications of 3D printing by medical researchers and practitioners, reducing production costs and enabling more accurate diagnoses.
